It was 8am on April 18th, 2013.  I wasn’t due until April 27th.  For two days I had been uncomfortable, tired and unable to sleep, and hurting.  Contractions had started and at first were thirty minutes apart, then the next day they were 15 minutes apart.  When I woke up on April 18th I started counting them again…7 minutes apart.  I got comfortable, took a shower and did my makeup, and waited.  I called my husband home from work that day around 3pm and decided to head to the hospital to get checked out.  We left around 4pm and our parents waited to hear news.  After 10 minutes the nurse said we were staying and the doctor was being called in.  We called our mom’s to go pick up our kids from school and head to the hospital.  After three years of trying, 3 miscarriages, three surgeries, and 10 months of doctors appointments we were about to meet our Lola.  I am so grateful to Monica with the Keri Duckett Birth Photography Group for capturing the birth of our sweet baby, to Dr Nackley at the Center for Assisted Reproduction for helping us get pregnant,  and to Dr Flowers for being the best ob/gyn ever.  We welcome you to our family Miss Lola and we love you more than you could ever imagine.
