Senior photography season is coming to an end and we are finishing up the last of our sessions!!!! Our recent senior photography workshop was super fun and I am loving these cute little sets created by Vanessa of butterflyspArks. The day of the workshop it was pouring down rain but we made it work and our models were awesome!!! Carlie is my neighbor and the sister of my daughter’s best friend. I’m always grabbing her when I need a model!!!! Miss Carlie, YOU ROCK!

I am surrounded by babies and bellies these days and I honestly think I have the most beautiful pregnant mommas around! Elyssa, you are simply stunning and I can’t wait to meet your little man in a few weeks!!!! Enjoy your sneak peek!!!!

I love it when I get to post about Princess Day! It happens a few times a year and I am honored to capture it. Embrace Grace is an organization for single-pregnant women. You can visit their website here. If you are pregnant and scared reach out to them. They will help! At the end of each semester the girls get to have a day of hair, makeup, massages, and an amazing dinner. This year Princess Day was held at Gateway Church in North Richland Hills! We decided to keep it simple. Nothing fancy and no props.
They are real women….beautiful on the inside and out and LOVED by Christ. Enjoy!

My little sis is having baby number 2! She has a gorgeous house in Dallas with huge windows and lots of white so I thought it would be a perfect place to shoot her maternity photos! We started inside with little Finn and finished up in the alley behind the house. Can you believe she is 8 months preggo! I haven’t done it in a while so I included some camera settings!!! I used the Canon 50mm 1.4 and custom white balance with my expodisc for all the shots! Enjoy!

All these were shot at iso 1000, f3.2, 1/125s

These were shot at iso 1000, f 2.0, 1/320s

Things are changing here at ElisaMichelene Photography and I couldn’t be happier! For a while I have only offered two types of newborn sessions, strictly baby posing or strictly lifestyle. It just wasn’t working and I felt like my true style wasn’t coming through in the final collection. It was time to make a change. I decided to marry the two and create one newborn collection. The new collection consists of two to three different baby poses and lifestyle shots and I love it. It’s the best of both worlds. The new line-up starts with a basic newborn collection and finishes with a one year baby plan. If you would like more information on the collections I offer you can check them out here in my on-line studio magazine. Here is an example of the new collection! Enjoy!

I have been dying to share this session all week! It seems like everyone I know is having babies and I have been very blessed to be able to photograph all my friends pregnant bellies! Baby Collins is due in just a few short weeks and I know Josh and Rhonda can’t wait and I can’t wait to photograph her when she arrives! They are the worship pastors at my church and Josh is an amazing artist! You can check out his new single on Itunes by clicking here. Enjoy!

I love it when my clients want to do something fun and different. When Stephanie called me back in January to book a session for her daughter’s upcoming birthday and mentioned that she wanted a horse in the photo I couldn’t have been more excited! I found a farm and a horse and here are my favorites from the session.

The Lookbook Lab senior edition was awesome this year. You can check out the first post here in case you missed it. We had 6 models and 6 cute sets and I just love this session we shot in the attic.

Babies are awesome and I love them! If I could have a house full of them I would. My youngest is turning 4 this month so it’s been a while since I had a baby in my home. I get my baby fix when I get to photograph little cuties like Miss Laila. She was a great model and this might have been one of the easiest baby shoots ever! She did awesome. I can’t wait to photograph her at one year!

I LOVE belly pics and I was so honored when my good friend Shanna asked me to take hers. Shanna is an amazing wedding photographer and just as cute as can be. I was so nervous to shoot another photographer but it made me feel better when Shanna told me she was just as nervous! She says that she is not photogenic at all. I tend to disagree.
