Today I am thankful. For a lot of things. Mostly, for the amazing woman God gave me to be my mom. She has taught me so much and has been an example for me to follow with my own kids. One of the coolest things I got from my mom was her creativity. This weekend she came over to decorate for Halloween with me! Yay! We had a blast. When we get together to decorate it usually involves a trip to the woods by my house for some tree branches and whatever else we find out there. We ended up with some branches, flowers, and some soybean looking things? We still aren’t sure what they are but they were cute and all over the ground so we grabbed them. Here is what I spent my weekend doing with my mom….
We started with the spiders! I don’t know why but I love them. So do the kids. They look real. So spooky:)
These are the branches we found! We spray painted them black and wrapped some purple led lights around them. We put them in some urns filled with rocks and I just love them. When November arrives these will be replaced with cornstalks then white branches for December!
This is our family scarecrow. He really should have a name because he has been in the family for a while. There is a little something to represent everyone in the family on this guy. Each item has a special meaning for us. What a fun project for you and your little ones!
Here are a few pics from the kitchen.
These are the bean things we found all over the ground. They are so cute but I have no idea what they are. Anybody? Bueller? Hopefully they won’t kill us!!!!!!!
We finished off the day with some Pumpkin cake from Jason’s Deli. What a great weekend. Thanks mom for being so awesome!!!!!!
